I Drew Something!

Okay, I've actually drawn a lot, but I haven't been able to post them because my scanner hates me. I don't sketch half as much on the computer, so yeah, no pictures for you. But I thought tonight I'd whip out the old tablet and sketch something up. This is Sonnie, she is the character I wish I were writing while I continue my marathon editing (nine months straight now!).

If you've been around awhile, you've actually read an itty bit of Sonnie's story. It's just for fun right now, and how I long to work on it before I get cold feet!

  1. I love when you post sketches. :-)

I've tried drawing manga-esque characters before, but I can never get the eyes right. Yours always show emotion.

    *iz jealous*

  2. Sweet. Do you know... I wish that I could do my own concept art like this. Some day... I shall learn to draw. :) It must be quite useful to be able to record the pictures in your mind.

  3. That is a very professional looking sketch! The only then I can draw is an occasional paycheck, flies to my meals and bath water.

    You are very talented.

  7. Love the sketch, Natalie. It makes me want to try drawing with a tablet, too. (I've always been a paper-and-pencils (or pens, rather) girl.)

  8. She's beautiful! What's her ethnicity? I can't wait to hear more about her.

  9. I can't even imagine being able to draw like that. I hope you did illustrations for your book.

  10. Looks like you've got a bit of an anime-manga influence there!
