Farewell, Year of Suck. I don't want to be rude, but you should know that I won't really miss you. Thanks for the lessons and all. I'll use them to make next year better.
I was just telling my husband last night that my life has been filled with a dislike of even numbered years....which I know sounds insane but has been nonetheless accurate. For some reason the even years are more difficult, stressful, transition-filled, fill-in-the-blank, and 2010 was no exception. Yay 2011! :)
Yep, 2010 sucked big time. But it wasn't a waste. Like you, I've learned some valuable lessons and have to remind myself that even if I'm growing slowly, at least I'm not standing still. Here's to learning more in 2011! Let's just hope there will be no walking on hot coals to do it:)
What was it about 2010?! Everyone I know had a really tough year. Even me, and I had a great year in some ways. But it was still really hard.
Followers of Chinese astrology say it's because last year was Year of the Tiger and an especially tough one as well. Next year is Year of the Rabbit (starting Feb. 5). It should be calmer...
Here's to a great 2011, Natalie, filled with good luck, success and super-Ninjas!
My sister and I made up this saying last year 2010: Let it Begin. The it we meant was success (though 2009 was so miserable either of us would have happily settled for a smidgen of security.)
In lots of ways, things did begin. Maybe for you too? I've only found your blog recently, but girl, you've got some followers!
Anyway, I've decided to be more specific this year. 2011: Is All About It Gellin'.
Except I haven't come up with a very good rhyme. 2011: A Little Slice of Heaven?
Both are terrible, I know. Either way, hard work pays off, right? 2010 built momentum, so clearly 2011 is...the year that all the dedication, patience, hard work finally freakin' pays off with some results(en).
Best of luck the coming year! You're awesome and I can't wait to read your book :)
